About Us
I started showing in 1987 when I handled my mothers Belgian Shepherds. In 1999 my mother bought me my very first show dog, a Lhasa Apso named Tokie.

I showed Lhasa Apsos for several years and bred my very first Blufawn Champion.

However, as soon as I was living by myself and able to choose my own dog, I went straight out and bought my first Deerhound from Kilbourne. I showed Deerhound all over the UK and even attended the World Dog Show in Helsinki.

I started judging in 2002 and have judged dogs in the hound, working and pastoral groups at both open and championship shows.
In 2002 I became involved in the Tamaskan Dog, firstly just organising the club and websites for my mother who founded the breed, but then in 2006 I bought my first Tamaskan and helped found the Tamaskan Dog Register for which I am still secretary. In 2006 I also started the Tamaskan Dog Showing Club to enable me to show my Tamaskan in online shows and also at TamFest, which started in my garden in Cheshire and is now the largest Tamaskan Show in the world.

In 2010 I briefly became involved in the Canadian Eskimo Dog world, I was one of the first to import the breed from Canada and I helped to found the Canadian Eskimo Dog Club of Great Britain. I also fought for the CED's to be registered in Ireland and therefore be able to become champions there. I was the first to register CEDs with the IKC and travel there to show. But politics in the breed caused me to leave and take a rather long break from showing.
I returned, but on a much smaller scale in 2018 when I went back to Kilbourne for another Scottish Deerhound.
I now continue to work with my Tamaskan in all areas of training and I run the Tamaskan Dog Showing Club to help promote and encourage participation in dog sports and social activities. I breed Tamaskan occasionally, but prefer to concentrate on furthering the breed through education and events.
Blufawn's breeding licence is held by Lynn Hardey with North Kesteven District Council AWL0046
